George Goerss – Screen

George began his career with the Tasmanian Film Corporation in 1977 .

During the 38 years George has been involved in the film industry, he has worked for programs as diverse as Willesee at 7, Sixty Minutes, Four Corners, A big Country and 7.30 Report. George’s area of expertise is as a Sound Designer and Audio Post Production Specialist. George actively works in the Industry running his own Post Production Business, Sonic Solutions Pty Ltd. His CV is extensive, working on many varied productions such as The Kettering Incident, 60 Minutes, Sony Pictures, and numerous Local and National advertising campaigns.

George has had considerable experience in teaching Film craft and Audio design . His teaching experience includes The ABC, Claremont College and 4 years lecturing in Audio design at  UTAS Conservatorium of Music.

George brings a wealth of experience to The Screen and Media course having worked with some of the countries best Directors of Photography Director / Journalists and Film Editors.

George is also an ARIA award winning Music Engineer with substantial credits under his belt across multiple musical genres
